The Dongara CRC is thrilled to welcome Rose Privett as our new Cert IV Community Services trainee! Rose joins us with a strong background in aged care, bringing compassion, experience, and a deep understanding of the needs of older community members.
This exciting opportunity is made possible through the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development’s Regional Traineeship Program, which supports regional organisations in building local capacity and creating meaningful career pathways.
Upcoming Events
Our weekly Intergenerational Mates sessions bring together people of different ages to connect, learn, and enjoy time together through shared activities and conversation.
These sessions create meaningful connections between generations, supporting social inclusion, mutual understanding, and community wellbeing in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Dementia Support Bus Trip – 5 May
Dongara CRC is offering a free bus trip to Geraldton on Tuesday 5 May for people living with dementia and their carers.
The trip includes attendance at a Dementia Support Group from 9:30–11:30am at the QEII Centre, with separate, facilitated groups for carers and for people living with dementia
MoneyBusiness is a free and confidential service offered by Regional Alliance West (RAW) that provides support options and information to help make decisions with money. RAW offers individual client appointments and provides outreach services at the Dongara CRC once a month.
Forget Me Not Café Bus Trip – 18 May
Dongara Community Resource Centre is offering a free bus trip to Geraldton on Monday 18 May to attend the Forget Me Not Café, running from 10:00am–12:00 noon at the Geraldton Library.
The café provides a relaxed and welcoming space for people living with dementia, their carers, family, and friends to enjoy conversation, connection, and support.

Scam Awareness Information Session
Join us at the Dongara Community Resource Centre on Friday, 12th December for a free session on how to protect yourself from scams and fraud.
Regional Alliance West offers free monthly Tax Help sessions at Dongara CRC from July to October, assisting eligible individuals earning $70,000 or less with simple tax returns. Bookings are essential—get support lodging your return with confidence and ease.
