Regional Alliance West ATO Tax Help Outreach

Until October, Regional Alliance West provides a monthly outreach service at the Dongara CRC to assist eligible individuals with lodging their tax returns.

This service is part of the Australian Taxation Office’s (ATO) Tax Help program, which offers free support to people with simple tax affairs.

✅ Eligibility Criteria (2024–25)

To access Tax Help, individuals must:

• Have earned $70,000 or less in the financial year.

• Have simple tax affairs (not running a business or owning rental property).

• Be lodging their own tax return (not on behalf of someone else).

• Have a myGov account linked to the ATO.

• Not be using a registered tax agent.

📍 Service Delivery at Dongara CRC

• Monthly appointments are available during the Tax Help timeframe.

• Trained volunteers from RAW assist clients in lodging their tax returns using myTax.

• Sessions are held in a confidential and supportive environment, ensuring accessibility for all eligible community members.
