ABOUT US

At the Dongara Community Resource Centre (CRC), we’re all about connection, support and making life in the Shire of Irwin even better.

Since opening our doors in 2001, we’ve been a community-driven, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing valuable services, resources, and opportunities for locals and visitors alike. As proud members of the Western Australian Community Resource Network, supported by the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD), we work to keep the community and businesses in our region informed, engaged and thriving.

Over the years, we’ve grown, evolved and expanded - all thanks to the incredible support of our community, local businesses, sponsors and grants. Whether it’s access to technology, government services, business support, employment assistance, training, events or community programs, we’re here to help.

More than anything, we believe in bringing people together - because connection is vitally important and that’s what community is all about.

Our Vision

Our local community is supported, connected and has the necessary information, resources and services available to them.

Our Mission

The Dongara CRC is an Open Door Supporting our Community.

In the background, other people are seated at tables, engaged in various activities, in a community space or classroom setting.

Western Australian Community Resource Network

The Western Australian Community Resource Network (WACRN) comprises over 100 rural, remote, and regional community resource centres (CRCs). The centres are not-for-profit organisations that are independently owned and operated by their local community.

CRCs provide access to government and community services and information, and undertake community, business, and economic development activities.

As part of the WACRN, Dongara CRC is responsible for achieving the following long-term outcomes:
